Whatever your reason for fitness, we are here to help. With the increase of nutritional and fitness information available on the internet, in the media and on social media, it can all be very overwhelming and confusing. Our instructors are all fully qualified to give you sound, reliable advice that will most importantly, be specific to your needs.
All customers wishing to use the fitness suite must have completed our induction process. The induction is split into 3 stages.
The first step to the fitness room starts with completing a medical and lifestyle questionaire. You will then have a health check where you will discuss your goals with the instructor. We need to take your blood pressure however the following are optional: Height, Weight, BMI, Body Fat Percentage, Flexibility, Peak Flow ,Cardiovascular Fitness Test. We would recommend that you do as many of these as possible as this will enable us to review your progress in more detail making your workouts even more benificial for you. After your health check the instructor will introduce you to the cardiovascular equipment. You are able to use the fitness room after your first induction
After your stage 1 you should now be happy and confident in using all the cardiovascular equipment in the gym. The instructor will go through the resistance machines with you & will write you a programme that will help you meet your goals you set in stage 1. By the end of the hour you will have been introduced to all the resistance & cardiovascular machines in the gym and will have your programme for the next 6-8 weeks.
After 6-8 weeks of training its time for an update and to redo the health check to chart your progress. The instructor will also re-design your programme & introduce you to more advanced exercises. These will include, dumbbells, dual adjustable pulley & swiss ball exercises.
